1. Overview
StillPalm (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is a mindfulness and meditation experience that uses your device camera to guide presence practices and optionally save session videos on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens with your information when you use the app.
StillPalm is designed so that camera frames and session results are processed on your device. We do not operate an account system, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. Camera and on-device processing
The app asks for camera permission so it can show a live preview and detect hand and face presence cues that power the meditation experience (for example, whether your eyes appear closed or your hands are joined).
- Camera frames are processed on your device while you use the session.
- We do not upload your live camera stream to our servers for analysis.
- You can deny camera permission; core live meditation features that need the camera will not work without it.
3. Photos, videos, and sharing
During or after a session, the app may create a short video reel on your device (for example, a shareable clip with captions and soundtrack). These files are stored locally in your device storage or gallery unless you choose otherwise.
- Videos stay on your device by default.
- If you tap Share, your device’s system share sheet lets you send a video to another app you choose. That transfer is controlled by you and the receiving app’s own policies.
- We do not receive videos you share with other apps through that flow.
4. What we store on your device
The app may keep limited information locally on your device, such as:
- Language preference
- Recent session summaries (for example duration and simple session metrics shown in-app)
- Temporary or saved session video files created by the app
This information is stored on your device (and may be included in your device’s normal backup features if those are enabled). Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app removes app-private data. Videos you previously saved to your gallery may remain until you delete them yourself.
5. What we do not collect
Based on how the app is built today:
- We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or payment details in the app.
- We do not sell advertising in the app or use an advertising ID for ads.
- We do not send your camera frames or session videos to our servers for storage or processing.
6. Third-party processing
StillPalm’s meditation features are intended to run on your device. The app may rely on on-device system services provided by your phone’s operating system (for example text-to-speech). If you share content to another app, that app becomes responsible for what happens next under its own terms and privacy policy.
This privacy page may be hosted by a website hosting provider. Hosting logs (such as basic request logs) may be processed by that provider according to their practices. Those logs are separate from in-app meditation data.
7. Retention
Because session history and videos are kept on your device, retention is largely under your control. Local session history is limited in size by the app. You can delete gallery videos anytime. Uninstalling the app removes app-private storage.
8. Children
StillPalm is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a channel we control, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. For StillPalm:
- You can revoke camera permission in your device settings.
- You can delete locally saved videos from your gallery or files app.
- You can clear app storage or uninstall the app to remove app-private data.
- You can contact us (below) with privacy requests related to information we hold, if any.
10. Health and wellness note
StillPalm offers mindfulness and relaxation features for general wellness. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and session metrics are approximate wellness cues—not diagnoses or clinical measurements.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
